Good morning Brothers and Sisters! I hope and pray you are all doing well and are taking appropriate measures to minimize exposure and spreading of the COVID-19.
As you are likely aware, Gov. Brown declared there is to be no assembling of more than 25 people. We had 42-45 people at church this past Sunday, so to be compliant CCMI will suspend meeting on Sunday mornings until further notice. We WILL do what we can to get a fresh weekly message on our website. Most of you live in the Monmouth-Independence area so perhaps you can enjoy listening to some of God's shepherds sharing Bible messages on KAJC-FM 90.1.
I encourage us all to reach out to one another during this time. When you think of a brother or sister from CCMI -- call them, send a text, and pray for them. Satan thrives on isolating God's people, so knowing this - reach out to one another! Encourage one another. Offer to help one another and don't be caught up in pride that you don't ask for help or encouragement or toilet paper!
If you send me your prayer requests, I will get them out for prayer. Prayer is powerful and I'm guessing lots of people will be seeking God for healing, comfort, and peace before virus and the "fallout" from this virus eases.
With a little bit of a "forced slowdown" in our lives, maybe you will find this to be the perfect time to increase your pray time, or get deeper in your daily devotions, and draw closer to those in you immediate family. Maybe you will find that this virus that satan intended for evil, God will use for good or maybe God is using it to draw us closer to Him and to each other. Without a doubt, unsaved people are "ripe" to hear the gospel! Share your hope in Christ -- plenty of opportunities.
Galatians 6:9-10 Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Peace in Our Savior!
